A meeting was held on October 9th for the purpose of beginning to plan for the third annual Thanksgiving Dinner. As in previous years, it will be co-sponsored by St. John the Evangelist Episcopal and First Presbyterian churches. The meal will be served in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian on Thursday, November 22nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the following times and duties: Wednesday, November 21st, 10:00 a.m. – set up Thursday, November 22nd – 10:30-11:30 a.m. – greeters, servers, table clearers 11:30–12:30 p.m. – greeters, servers, table clearers 12:30-1:30 p.m. or longer – greeters, servers, clean-up.

Members of both congregations are asked to donate pies. All other food and beverages will be provided. Note* Last year an anonymous donor paid for all of the food for the
community Thanksgiving Dinner served at First Presbyterian Church.
This year that person is unable to do so. Therefore, members of the
congregations of First Presbyterian and St. John the Evangelist are
invited to make financial donation. Checks are to be written to First
Presbyterian and earmarked for the dinner.
