St. John’s Outreach Committee met on October 4. The meeting was opened with a reading and prayer.
Supplies collected by our congregation for area school children amounted to seventy-nine pounds.
Our recent Heifer Project donation will be used to purchase 200 chickens.
The committee gave Food for Friends $135 to help with setting up their recent noon meal for the needy.
The Salvation Army Youth Center in Mankato will receive $200.
It has been decided to donate $1000 to the Open Door Clinic.
Phyllis Brine reported her recent experiences at the Millennium Goal Conference held recently in the Twin Cities. This program is connected with the United Nations for projects throughout the world.
The next meeting of the Outreach Committee will be held on Thursday, November 1, at 6:30 p.m. Participation in this committee is open to all members of St. John’s. Join us in caring for the needs of others.
