St. John's Outreach Committee met on Thursday, October 5. Members present were Chair Phyllis Brine, Bobbie Hovren, Ann Taylor-Sundstrom, Elsie Olson, and Ginny McNear.

The wrapped boxes for "Samaritan's Purse" are to contain nothing religious because they go all over the world; especially into disaster areas. However,
we are asked to pray, as we pack them, for the person who will receive it.
They are to be filled and back to the church by October 31.

Food for Friends, held October 14, is chaired by Audrey and Ray Splinter, Dale and Nikki Van Stelton are being trained in.

The parish donation for ECHO, in September was 118 pounds of food and $20.

The AIDS project, chaired by Ann Taylor-Sundstrom brought in $ 455.23.

The Millenium goals, set by the U.N. in 1999, asks for 7/10 ths of 1 % from individuals. Jerry Schnek has the information.
